    INFINITY ESCAPE

    Alex Knapic, 2023

Infinity Escape by Alex Knapic is a 100 x 100 cm installation crafted from wood, metal, stone, and smalti glass. The piece explores the idea of breaking free from the constraints of time, space, and reality. Fragments of wood, stone, and glass seem to escape their frame, merging with imagined landscapes, Istrian sunsets, and geometric illusions. Dark, undulating canals cut through the work, segmented by thin metal lines, with flashes of colourful glass hinting at life once present. Infinity Escape invites viewers to reflect on freedom, beauty, and the delicate balance between structure and chaos.

    Infinity Silence, 2024

Infinity Silence by Alex Knapic is a 117 x 117 cm mosaic crafted from metal, marble, and Smalti-Venetian glass, deeply rooted in the landscapes of Istria. The piece captures the region's quiet beauty; its rolling hills, ancient stone walls, and hidden springs, through intricate textures and reflections. Each carved stone and shimmering glass fragment tells a story of Istrian memories, traditions, and the gentle passage of time. Infinity Silence invites viewers into a world where nature, history, and imagination intertwine in a profound, meditative stillness.
