The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) is a state organization founded in 1989 for the protection of nature and wildlife. Most national parks in Kenya are under the control of the KWS, which sets very clear rules for visitors and guides. Violations are punished with heavy fines - poaching ends in the death of the poacher. A current campaign of the Concervancy facility advertises with a motif showing a man wearing handcuffs made out of ivory. The tagline, "Hands Off!".To me, a perfect visualization of the message - we humans have no right to hunt animals just to get rich from them. The only trophy you get when you kill an animal and boast about it is the poverty certificate. I would like to take up exactly this appeal with my portrait of this beautiful natural wonder of an adult bull elephant!
Let's stop hunting animals to amuse ourselves with their deaths or their adornment! If we don't do something about it soon, our grandchildren will only be able to see elephants, lions, giraffes, rhinos and all the other species of this fragile ecosystem in old documentaries.
