Alex Knapıc’s artworks express playfulness through a diversity of materials and shapes, dreamed up realities and often unexpected outcomes that support his vision of the world through mosaics. 

Tenaciously arranged symmetrical squares horizontally cut across a symbolic construction creating two wholes. The upper one supports an abandoned and disintegrated mosaic form that conveys chaos and disorder while the lower one depicts perilous and sharp verticals, which  represent tidiness and the cosmos, disrupted by a red thread. Knapic encourages the viewer to question the source of this red thread through personal interpretation and highlights the importance of a child’s vision when viewing the world.
