The sculptures exhibited were produced from original foundry molds in a limited number, using the exact technique of the period. The exhibition will feature 21 pieces by Rodin based on human nature, one of the largest collections to be shown in a private gallery.
Miart Gallery is pleased to present a special collection of bronze sculptures by Auguste Rodin (1840-1917), the pioneer of the Concept of Modern Sculpture.
Rodin liberated the art of sculpture from academia, purified sculpture from ornaments, and preferred humanitarianism over monumentality. Its difference is that it adds dramatic tension to the sculpture, adds human tragedy, the intensity of emotions and passions. His sculptures were expressive. While grappling with problems, techniques, drawings and formatting unique to the art of sculpture, he never gave up on the personalities and stories he created.
The Sculptures exhibited were produced from original foundry molds in a limited number, using the exact technique of the period. Our collection also includes the Kiss and Bronze Age, some of Rodin's most important works. The exhibition will feature 20 pieces by Rodin on human nature.
